We thank each and every Alumni who has contributed and made the Cultural Event a success.
Students admitted under RTE
VidyaMandir Alumni Association has in the recent past been very active in establishing close links with VM Alumni members across the batches. In August 2014, as part of Vidyavaibhavam celebrations, VMAA, the Alumni association received donations of Rs 15 Lakhs towards the corpus, with specificrequirements to apply the interest there from to support the tuition fees for students admitted under RTE Act. Commencing with effect from 2015-16, the annual interest earned from this corpus will be applied to pay the School fees for students admitted under RTE Act.
Annual Get together
The Annual VMAA get together was held on 27th December 2014, at Madras Race Club. Taking the cue from Vidyavaibhavam, all efforts were put in by the Committee to ensure that the get together receives a good response. Food was ordered from the popular Eden restaurant and a Music band was also asked to perform. The climate was also favorable and the rains did not spoil the evening!
However, the response was not encouraging, as many Alumni members did not turn up (even though some of the groups had confirmed to make it).
We still believe that the Annual get together event should be continued and that with the Portal launch, communication is expected to be more pronounced and effective.
We request each and every Alumni member to join us, at least during the annual get together.

VMAA Web Portal
During the year 2014, VM Alumni Association initiated and resumed the subject of development of VM Portal. Earlier, substantial work was done by Dr Sandeep and few other members. It has been always VMAA’s desire to have a robust, friendly and interactive portal, which will help VM Alumni members to touch base with their own classmates and other VM Alumni members.
The portal is expected to be fully developed and become live in a month’s time. Once the portal becomes operational, we expect to make changes and add morefeatures, depending on the user feedback.
Soon, the portal will be made available for VM Alumni to login and register
In order to ensure, we update the VMAA database, with correct information, each VM Alumni will be requested to follow the registration process and complete all the other requested information.
The success of the portal will be in the hands of the VM Alumni, and the Committee looks forward to their sharing the contact details, so as to ensure effective connect and communication.
VMAA has been putting forward its best efforts to organize various activities for the Alumni members and the School, teachers and staff.
However, it may be said that we are far from achieving our objectives, which is to bring into ” VMAA Library- Database”, each and every VM student ,who has passed out from the School, irrespective of the fact whether he /she has been in the School for a few years or has completed the entire Schooling at VidyaMandir.
